"The National Union believes in the separation between religion and politics, and a prohibition on politics encroaching on religious values and laws."
To this subversive statement, Prof. Paul Eidelberg, a candidate on the Herut party list responded:
“This is a subtle call for the separation of religion from public law.”
Uri Bank, No. 10 on the National Union party list replied:
“THE ISRAELI POLITICAL SYSTEM HAS TO RID ITSELF OF THE SECTARIAN RELIGIOUS PARTIES.”
Prof. Eidelberg comments:
“Eliminating the religious parties will make Israel a ‘state of its citizens’—precisely the aim of the left-wing parties and their Arab allies!”
All the more reason to vote HERUT
