From an Indian Hindu Friend (Anonymous)

      The recent killing of Hindu pilgrims on annual pilgrimage to the holy shrine of Amarnath in Kashmir by Muslim militants from Pakistan has been in world focus. What is not known, conveniently forgotten, or ignored is that every year the Muslim fanatics kill several Hindu pilgrims on this annual pilgrimage.

The Indian Government, in characteristic Muslim appeasement mode forgets that thousands of Muslim pilgrims for Haj to Mecca/Madina are subsidized almost in full by the Indian state, airlifted by Air India, Indian Airlines chartered flights, and given all support and protection.

And yet, year after year, Hindu pilgrims, spending their own hard earned money, provided whatever pitiable security cover the Government can give, are slaughtered en masse by the Muslim fanatics. But not one word of regret (except the usual tongue in cheek "condemnations" by politicians--including the Americans and their bosom friends, the Pakistanis) is ever expressed by the Muslims of India who continue to enjoy, indeed exploit the majority Hindus and the ever recumbent Indian Government in the name of Minority Rights, and Communal Peace.

One would have wished just one Indian Muslim organization to voluntarily cancel their Haj for at least one year in protest against the Hindu killings, or at least to give up taking subsidies from the Indian Government. Who knows this could have had a salutary effect on the mad miltants from across the border.

But of course, these servants of Allah are not made of that kind of stuff despite now their universal cacophony of the "piety and peaceful nature of Islam; its unparalleled virtues of Tolerance etc etc ad nauseum which Muslim "Thinkers" and writers seem to shoot off in the World media day after day.

      Speaking of Allah, one Muslim gentleman has expressed an incontrovertible opinion in a National Indian Daily that the word of Allah, and His injunctions, as they were uttered by Mohamed in the Quran are FINAL and IRREVOCABLE as far as the Muslims are concerned, and these are also equally enforceable on all humanity. The occasion for this diatribe was a very just demand by a Hindu organization that some 20 or so words in the Quran are offensive, and preach hatred, including mayhem, murder, violence and anarchy against all non-muslims, and that in the interests of world peace and communal harmony between all major religions of the world, these words should be deleted or replaced by other less objectionable ones. All non-muslims know about at least 3 words Kafir, Haram, Jihad in not only Islamic texts, but general Muslim mindsets, which have played havoc with the world, and continue to threaten the end of world peace, and human civilization.

It is heartening to note that at least two Nobel laureates, Salman Rushdie, a Muslim, and very recently, V. Naipaul, have condemned medieval (Dark Ages) mentality of the Muslims as totally unacceptable and out of synch with a forward moving rest of humanity.

      The only Super Power in the World today continues to be pig headed, and befriends the worst terrorist enemies of humanity, Saudi Arabia and Pakistan, as part of their "national interest and geostrategetic designs". This despite the stinging slap of the WTC calamity wrought upon them by their same two " most trustworthy allies". How reminiscent of the American ostrich-neck in the sand attitude till the Japanese kamaziked Pearl Harbour. But this time the WTC outrage has merely made the Yanks extend warm embraces and lend (free) hot war artilleries to their sworn enemies, in the latter' s own perception (ignored by the Americans).

A very, very strange and imperfect world.

God save America. God save Israel. God save India.

But the writing on the wall belies that pious hope!
