Letters of Haim Goldman, Friday, July 28, 2006 Dear Friends in the U.S. and elsewhere,
I would like to present for your refined literary evaluation a recently
published superb poem inspired by the sophisticated university town of
Berkeley. The gifted poetess Ms. Cecilia Lucas is a graduate student in
education at the University of California at Berkeley.
Reading a tender and compassionate love poem written in a distinct,
slightly erotic feminine style is very heartening at time of war.
I believe that the composition of Ms. Lucas is a definite epitome of
modern American poetry and it is a tribute to the true spirit of the UC
at Berkeley and of the American Academia at large.
Careful reading of the poem indicates that Ms. Lucas have not encountered
her lover yet and does not really KNOW him.
Let us hope that said lover moves to Berkeley expeditiously and manifests
there his stupendous competence, which he recently demonstrated elsewhere.
The exquisite poem “I DON’T WANT TO LOVE YOU, BUT I DO” by Cecilia Lucas
is available at [1].
After you have perused the poem, you should try to identify the outstanding
poetess in one of the pictures taken at a Berkeley street parade and presented
at [2].
Permission is granted to forward this letter to your friends and colleagues
provided that the letter is FORWARDED “AS IS”.
Sincerely,
Haim Goldman
