We, a group of Jews who repatriated to Israel during the last thirty years from different states of the former USSR, are calling upon all the Jews in the world to support our categorical demand towards the Government of Israel: to stop immediately all contacts with Yasser Arafat - the most monstrous enemy of the Jewish people since Hitler. 

Such contacts constitute a crime not only against the Jewish people, but against the very foundations of universal morality, indeed, against humanity itself. Israeli politicians, who under every pretext grant Arafat international legitimacy as Israel's "peace partner", allow him to continue, with complete impunity, the piecemeal genocide of the Jews. Such appeasement, even if dictated with the best intentions, is criminal and can only be compared with that which led to Munich and the demise of Czechoslovakia. 

The "national unity" government, under the Sharon-Peres leadership, is deceiving the Jewish people and acts contrary to Israel's national interest. It has been engaged in deceit since the Rosh HaShana War-the war initiated by Arafat last year and misleadingly called "El-Aksa intifada".  Arafat has revealed to all his evil face; he has opened the eyes of the Left and the Right, of the religious and the secular.  But Israel's Government has deliberately obscured the totality and unlimited objectives of Arafat's War. It has closed its eyes to the Moslem's illegal and destructive activity on the Temple Mount-activity designed to remove every trace of Jewish presence on this most sacred place of our people. 

This Government has turned a blind eye to the savage killing of two reserve soldiers in Ramalla and of two teenagers in Teqoa, to the murder of the babies Shalhevet Pas of Hebron and Yehuda Shoham of Shilo, to the terrorist atrocities in the Delphinarium in Tel-Aviv and Sbarro pizzeria in Jerusalem. Jews continue to be murdered on a daily basis. Hundreds have been killed and many more wounded and maimed for life since the outbreak of the Rosh HaShana War, yet the Government has done nothing to put an end to this carnage. Even the murder of the government minister Rehavaam Zeevi did not compel the government to reverse its policy. 

Perhaps the greatest outrage committed by this Government was its attempt to renew the "peace process" with the butcher of the Jewish people during the Days of Awe and Repentance between Rosh HaShana and Yom Kippur! One cannot help but see here the moral and metaphysical significance of the crime that this Government committed, a crime for which responsibility will also be borne, ultimately, by every Jew who did not oppose it. 

Unless the Sharon-Peres appeasement policy is brought to a halt-immediately, completely, and irreversibly-it will surely bring about the destruction of the State of Israel and another Holocaust. Hard as it is to pronounce these words, this pending Holocaust, which in fact has already started, will be more horrifying than the one perpetrated by Nazi Germany. The Durban conference and the resurgence of European anti-Semitism are but a subtle hint of what may happen to Israel and, ultimately, to world Jewry. 

We can still do something to prevent this disaster. Let all the Jews in the world proclaim their resounding NO to the present policy of Israel's Government. Let them, together with us, do their utmost to compel the Government to fulfill its sacred national duty-its duty to the Jewish > people and to all those in the world who have not lost their human image; its duty to the God of Israel Who has chosen the Jews to be the light unto mankind. 

We ask everyone to sign this appeal. We ask you to translate it into every language and to distribute it among the Jews of the world.  You will thereby contribute to the consolidation of all the energy and resources of world Jewry for the sake of influencing the Government of Israel in the direction outlined in this appeal.
